FILM & TV
My camera is my constant companion so consequently, every trip out becomes an impromptu photo shoot. I developed a fascination for film making when I realized that this platform was the perfect medium to marry art and photography - my two passions.
After completing University in the summer of 2022, with a first-class BA Hons degree in Film Making from Kingston University and winning the University award for “Excellence in Film Making,” I jumped straight into working for a production company as a video editor for a year. I gained great experience in my time there and have honed my skills working with Premier Pro, Indesign and After Effects. I am passionate about my field of study and looking for work that enables me to continue to learn, gain experience and grow.
I grew up in Umbria, Italy and relished my Italian school life which involved nights of star gazing on the eve of San Lorenzo whilst listening to heroic tales of Roman achievements, trips to the National Gallery of Perugia, The Museum in Cortona to see Fra Angelico’s “Annunciation” and San Sepolcro, the birthplace of Piero della Francesca and where the largest collection of his paintings and frescos reside.
When I was eleven, I was wrenched out of this rural idyll and brought to Dubai, where my eyes were opened wide to an incredible melting pot of people and cultures. This dramatic change was a huge shock but I have learned with time how privileged I am to have had such experiences and it has given me a yearning to document the world around me.
Although I was focused on the role of Writing and Directing at Film School, to date, most of my practical work experience has been within the Art Department. Some of the skills I have acquired involve being a very fast learner and being extremely personable with everyone I meet. Also, I have the ability to be flexible and have understood that anything can happen at any given moment. Being able to think on ones feet is something that is essential to problem-solving and reaching objectives and this is something I have honed.
Due to my experience in the Art Department (which involved heavy, physical work) I have become used to working long hours in diverse environments ranging from scorching deserts, remote mountainous villages to air-conditioned studios and therefore consider myself an adaptable person.
